Palmas is the culmination of decades of experience and generations of dreams. Our story starts with an immigrant father who has spent more than 30 years mastering the restaurant business and a first‑generation daughter who had a vision for something bigger. Together with our extended family, we decided to create a space that celebrates the flavors of our heritage while embracing the tastes we’ve discovered along the way.

Family is at the centre of everything we do.  World champion barista Alejandro Mendez, a close family friend, leads our coffee program, ensuring that every cup is crafted with care and precision. In the kitchen, our pastry chef builds dessert menus that pair perfectly with our coffees and traditional dishes. We’re especially proud to highlight our pupusas, a Salvadoran staple.

We chose Cranford, NJ because of its welcoming downtown. The community here understands that it takes all kinds of people to make a great community and we cannot wait to be a part of that fabric. Palmas is more than a café, it's a destination where our heritage and your tastes can meet.
